ID badge lanyards provide a highly visible way to display ID cards.
ID badge lanyards are either round or flat: flat ID badge lanyards are either standard or “break-away”. Break-away lanyards have a clasp that releases when tugged, thereby protecting wearers if the lanyards should become caught.
Attachments connect lanyards to the ID badge holders or ID card dispensers that hold the ID cards themselves. Steel attachments - split rings, swivel hooks, and bull-dog clips - are silver if made of nickel-plated steel (NPS) or black, if made of “black oxidized” steel. Plastic attachments - “O” rings and slide hooks - appear in a range of colors.
