The Magicard Prima 3 Duo Plus is an extremely fast dual-sided ID card printer. It produces up to 120 full-color cards per hour, making it ideal for high-volume ID card applications. Using an innovative reverse-transfer printing process, the Prima 3 Duo Plus creates high-quality ID cards and badges suitable for the most demanding ID card programs. Along with high print speeds, the Prima 3 Duo also provides faster encoding, and offers users a manual card feeding option.
With reverse-transfer printing, card images are first transferred to a special re-transfer film. The film is then fused to the surface of the card. The advantages of this process include superior image quality, protection from tampering and copying, and increased durability. Reverse-transfer printing is also the ideal method for printing on cards with uneven surfaces, for instance smart cards and proximity cards.
Because the Magicard Prima 3 Duo Plus prints both card sides in a single run, it's the ideal printer for high-volume applications where variable information is required for each card side. Dual-sided printing saves time and expands the options in terms of card design elements.
Other highlights of the Prima 3 Duo Plus include Ethernet connectivity for remote operation in networked environments, a host of sophisticated encoding options, and an optional inline laminator.
