Designed for high-volume ID programs, the Prima 4 quickly produces large runs of high-definition photo IDs using an innovative reverse-transfer print process. This model also includes a single-sided laminator, allowing you to further protect your cards with clear or holographic overlays. Lamination can significantly increase the lifespan of your cards, and also works to prevent illegal duplication and tampering. Standard or custom holographic laminates are available, along with UV film options.
The reverse-transfer printing process used by the Prima 4 results in high-definition photo IDs featuring superior print quality, vibrant colors and crisp text. Images and text are first printed on a special film which is then fused to the card surface. The finished cards more closely resemble the exceptional print quality of a glossy magazine rather than your traditional ID card. This process is also the preferred print method for cards with uneven surfaces, such as those featuring embedded electronics.
The Magicard Prima 4 comes equipped with built-in USB 2.0 and Ethernet connectivity, making it ideal for users operating in networked environments. The Ethernet connection allows multiple users to access the printer from multiple network locations.
