Its innovative modular design - allowing for upgrades to magnetic stripe, laminating, and smart card encoding technology - allows organizations to customize their printers as their ID card needs expand. The dual-sided HDP5000 printer quickly creates dual-sided full color (on both sides) ID cards with breathtaking quality, thanks to Fargo's HDP technology. Instead of being printed directly to the card, the HDP5000 prints the reverse of the card's image on a special overlaminate, which is then applied to the card, effectively "sandwiching" the card image between a tough overlaminate and the plastic card.

Along with stunning quality and effective printing, the HDP5000 dual-sided printer is easy to maintain, with incorporated ribbon and overlamniate cartridges that snap into place. An easy-to-read LCD SmartScreen gives users a clear idea of what needs to be maintained and when.
