Featuring Fargo's HDP (high definition printing), the HDP5000 easily prints high quality and richly colored 600 dpi cards thanks to its unique print process. Instead of printing directly to the cards, the reverse image of the card is first printed on a special overlaminate film, which is then applied to a durable plastic card. The finished card has the card's image "sandwiched" between the overlaminate and PVC card, making its high definition coloring and over-the-edge print less susceptible to the elements. Better yet, this whole process takes just over 30 seconds!
